Warner Music Poland Release Information



The album “Anawa” (SACD Hybrid) by Anawa in the series “Polskie Nagrania Catalogue Selections”. This is the first edition of this album in the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles.

The album from 1973 is the work of Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz from the period when the band Anawa still existed and Marek Grechuta had already embarked on a solo career. The composer invited the singer Andrzej Zaucha, who expanded the sound of the new Anawa with percussion instruments. And he gave it a new voice.

The album features premiere recordings of lyrics by Leszek Aleksander Moczulski and Ryszard Krynicki, as well as excerpts from works as unusual for sung poetry and rock as a Sumerian epic and the writings of a Renaissance theologian. Anawa is great music, great lyrics, a great singer and a great band. Anawa tells us: “Don’t be afraid of the fear of the unknown that exists within you.”
