The album “W malinowym chruśniaku / Dancing” (SACD Hybrid) by Marek Grechuta & Krystyna Janda in the series “Polskie Nagrania Catalogue Selections”. This is the first edition of this album in the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles.

The original album “W malinowym chruśniaku (In the Raspberry Thicket) / Dancing”, an unrivalled fusion of poetry and theatre, combines two distinct, brilliant television and theatre projects from 1984, directed by Stefan Szlachtycz. The first part is a captivating cycle of erotic poems by Bolesław Leśmian, set to music by Marek Grechuta on the initiative – and with the participation – of Krystyna Janda. The title duet is an absolute gem of Polish music.

The second part is Janda’s solo recital – “Dancing” – featuring Jerzy Satanowski’s sensational music set to the incredibly expressive poems of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, set against the edgy and frenzied atmosphere of the 1920s. The unique atmosphere and profound expression of both artists have taken on a whole new dimension thanks to Damian Lipiński’s new mastering.
