As of today, the double CD and Blu-ray Želimir “Željko” Bebek: “Live @Arena – 50 godina karijere” (Live @Arena – 50 years of career) is on sale, immortalizinge the spectacular concerts in Zagreb and Split.

The concert spectacle with which the legendary singer rounded off his very important anniversary was recorded so that his faithful audience could continue to enjoy the great hits that marked his career. As a bonus on the CD and Blu-ray there are also several compositions that Bebek sang in the Gripe hall in Split.

The concert in the Zagreb Arena has been his biggest independent concert, which Bebek was awaiting for a long time. The concert started with the song “Il’ me ženi il’ tamburu kupi” (Either Marry Me or Buy a Tambourine), and continued with the hits “S tobom su godine minute” (With You Years are Minutes), “Ja po kafanama” (Me in Bars), “Gdje sam bio” (Where Have I Been), “Žuta ruža” (Yellow Rose), as well as with the hits he sang as a member of the cult group Bijelo Dugme (White Button). At the Zagreb concert, Bebek was joined on stage by the singer-songwriter Lana.S in the song “Dabogda te voda odnijela” (May God Take You away) and one of the most famous singers of folk music, Halid Bešlić, in the song “Da zna zora” (If the Dawn Knew).

The anniversary concert required a slightly different repertoire, which is why Bebek also included many songs from his latest studio album, “Mali oblak ljubavi” (Little Cloud of Love), such as “Kakav otac, takav sin” (Like the father, so the son) and “Kćeri moja” (My Daughter). With the musical and vocal support of his son Zvonimir “Zvone” and the rest of the band, Željko Bebek proved with a three-hour concert why he is one of the leading musicians in the Yugoslavian area.

A few months after the one in Zagreb, there was also a concert in Split, and the audience in the sold-out Gripe hall enthusiastically sang all the hits, including “Prvak svijeta” (Champion of the World), “Dala mi je da je ljubim malo” (She Let Me Kiss Her a Little), “Gola koljena” (Bare Knees), “Idu dani, lete godine” (Days Go by, Years Fly by) and “Milost” (Amazing Grace) which are included on this edition as a bonus.

Mixing, mastering and music production were done by the sound masters Goran Martinac and Mauro Širol, and in the rich booklet of the release there are photos of Filip Kovačević and Matej Grgić, who captured the great musical celebration with their lenses.

The release of “Live @ Arena, 50 godina karijere” brings top quality audio and video production and the possibility of experiencing a concert atmosphere in which you can feel the true connection between the audience and the musicians. The latest discographic live edition is another musical document and a celebration of the emotions that have connected Željko Bebek with the audience for 50 years.
