Warner Music Poland Release Information



The album “Karate” (Karate) is the band’s fourth studio album, which was released in 1972. It is a musical continuation of the legendary “Blues” album, in whose shadow it remained for many years. With time, however, it turned out that “Karate” is not a weaker release. On the contrary, today it appears as material just as captivating as its famous predecessor. It is a classic of Polish rock and blues.

All songs were written by Tadeusz Nalepa and Bogdan Loebl. The album features many unique and timeless compositions, including “Powiedzmy to” (Let’s Say It), “Daję ci próg” (I’ll Give You a Threshold), “Rzeka dzieciństwa” (The River of Childhood), “Śliska dzisiaj droga” (The Road Is Slippery today) and “Takie moje miasto jest” (That’s My City). Beautiful music and great, wise lyrics. Simply good old blues... The album was awarded with a gold disc in 1974 for the sales of 150.000 copies.

This reissue has been released on 200 gram vinyl and comes with an insert containing a longer text about the record both on Polish and on English.
