Warner Music Poland Release Information



The album “Szukam przyjaciela” (SACD Hybrid) by Stan Borys in the series “Polskie Nagrania Catalogue Selections”. This is the first edition of this album in the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles.

Stan Borys’ solo career began with the recording of the album “Krzyczę przez sen” (I Scream in My Sleep). Leading Polish jazz musicians played on the album, but the singer’s greatest achievement turned out to be his second album, “Szukam przyjaciela” (I Am Looking for a Friend).

It is truly hard to believe that nine songs by different authors can maintain such a high and consistent level. Of course, the common denominator here is the singer’s voice, which has the space of a Gothic cathedral. The album includes the artist’s greatest hit, the legendary “Jaskółka uwięziona” (The Imprisoned Swallow).
