“Chansones i bubanj live” (Chansones and Drum Live) – a new LP & CD by Električni Orgazam is on sale!

Električni Orgazam (Electric Orgasm) from Belgrade have been one of the longest-running and most active rock bands in the Yugoslavian region. Their rich discography is being joined by another release these days – the album Chansones i bubanj live, recorded at concerts at the Tvornica Kulture (Culture Factory) in Zagreb and Dom Omladine (Youth Center) in Beograda in 2023 and 2024.

In collaboration with Croatia Records, Električni Orgazam has been systematically working on revitalizing its own catalogue by regularly releasing reissues of albums from the group’s early stages on luxury vinyl formats. The album “Chansones i bubanj live” was recorded at concerts in Zagreb and Belgrade, two key cities in the group’s career, where Električni Orgazam promoted the reissues of the albums “Les chansones populaires” (Popular Songs) and “Kako bubanj kaže” (As the Drum Says), and brings a selection of songs from both releases.

With cover versions of the cult “Locomotion”, “The Man who Sold the World” and “I’m Waiting For the Man”, “Fras u šupi” (Fras in the Shed), “Klinci traže zabavu” (Kids Looking for Fun) and the eternal “Kako bubanj kaže” (As the Drum Says), Električni Orgazam presents itself on this release as a spirited group that plays the aforementioned songs with the same passion and enthusiasm as in the early 80s, at the time of their original release. It is curious that most of the songs released on this album by Gile, Ljuba, Švaba, Banana and Pače have not played in front of an audience for 40 years, which gives the release an additional dose of exclusivity.

“Chansones i bubanj live” is available as a special vinyl edition – on transparent magenta vinyl and in a gatefold packaging, as a digipak CD edition and as a digital edition on all music streaming services. The songs were recorded and mixed by Goran Martinac and Vlada Burić, the cover is equipped with photographs by Matej Grgić, while Darko Kujundžić is responsible for the artistic design of the album.

Električni Orgazam continues with its concert activity and the Zagreb audience can see them again on 13 June 2025 at Šalata, where they will perform with Partibrejkers and Jurica Pađen & Aerodrom.
