The album “Nieustanne tango” (SACD Hybrid) by Republika in the series “Polskie Nagrania Catalogue Selections”. This is the first edition of this album in the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles.

The album “Nieustanne tango” (Endless Tango) has been Republika’s second album. It was released in 1984 by the private label Polton. Despite the censorship of the time, which treated Republika particularly harshly, the title track became a huge hit and the album sold out completely, despite its limited release.

The album “Nieustanne tango” is a reckoning with martial law. The band’s frontman Grzegorz Ciechowski uses a love metaphor in an unusual way to describe a world of indoctrination and violence. It includes the hits “Nieustanne tango” (Endless Tango), “Poranna wiadomość” (Morning News), “Psy Pawłowa” (Pavlov’s Dogs) and “Obcy astronom” (The Alien Astronomer).
