This year we celebrate exactly 50 years since Rezonansa’s first appearance on the Yugoslavian music scene with the song 'Nemoj meni branit moja nano' (Don’t Protect Me, My Nano), which was published by Jugoton in 1975. This song became a hit, drawing attention to the young musicians from Sarajevo led by brother and sister Brano and Branka “Seka” Likić.

“Composer Brano Likić was only 21 years old at the time, and he was already ripe for three minutes of musical perfection in which we can hear a light acoustic beginning, jazz phrases, an impressive harmony of male and female voices, a gradual flourishing of the theme, and the piano in an inspired duel with the violin, the sound of which is discreetly and then emphasized throughout the entire song,” says journalist Josip Dujmović.

The interesting thing about the sound of the Rezonansa group is the unique combination of instruments: violin, drums, bass, acoustic piano, acoustic guitar, with the specific harmony of the voices of brother and sister in a special interval relationship.

The 1970s were the era of singles, and each new single by Rezonansa brought an expansion of musical expressions, with the addition of new instruments such as the viola, flute and a large revue orchestra.

The release “Singl ploče 1975-1978” (Single Records 1975-1978) represents a cross-section of the musical work of this charming group, and the CD booklet is of encyclopedic value because it contains a lot of recording details that were previously unknown. Like almost all releases by the Rezonansa group, this compilation was designed by Dragan S. Stefanović.
