The remastered edition of Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni’s fourth studio album, “Ruža vjetrova” (Rose of the Winds) from 1996, is now available on vinyl for the first time. This exclusive edition brings a unique opportunity to all fans of Gibonni’s music to re-immerse themselves in his timeless hits, now in a completely new, improved sound edition.

The album features timeless hits such as “Ovo mi je škola” (This is My School), “Ispod moga pramca (Tempera)” (Under My Bow (Temper)) and “Ako me nosiš na duši” (If You Carry Me on Your Soul), and already at the time of its release announced the arrival of one of the biggest names in Croatian pop music. Later albums, such as “Judi, zviri i beštimje” (People, Beasts and Curses) and “Mirakul” (Miracle), only solidified Gibonni’s status on the scene.

“Ruža vjetrova” carries a special energy from the very beginning, and the new remaster brings freshness to this iconic edition. The mastering was done by Goran Martinac from the Croatia Records Studio, while the lacquer cut was done by Sean Magee at the legendary London Abbey Road Studio. Their work gives the album a new dimension, keeping the original spirit, but also introducing a more contemporary sound.

In the accompanying booklet, the long-time editor of Jugoton and Croatia Records, Siniša Škarica, commented on the significance of the album: ““Ruža vjetrova” sounds and has been experienced as truly the artist’s last journey, the fourth part of the saga in search of fame and love conquered simultaneously. Gibonni’s soon-to-be almost unreal audience, in verses of swelling emotions, ambitious metaphors and carried away by anthemic choruses and a solid power pop sound, will become the musical highlight of the second half of the nineties, announcing the arrival of the “national Gibonni”.”
