The album “Piosenki” (SACD Hybrid) by Lech Janerka in the series “Polskie Nagrania Catalogue Selections”. This is the first edition of this album in the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc) format. The choice of this format is a nod to audiophiles.

“Piosenki” (Songs) was recorded in 1987. It is the second solo album by Lech Janerka, an icon of the Polish music scene, and introduces us to a world where the greyness of everyday life meets an explosion of creative energy. Do you remember the gloomy Wrocław of those years? Or perhaps the hustle and bustle of colourful Kraków, where Janerka recorded the album? This is an extraordinary musical story that began with a night-time improvisation and continues in timeless songs!

The album is an explosion of emotions, from hypnotic melodies to energetic tracks, each piece telling a separate story. Among the hits are “Niewalczyk” (No Waltz), “Paragwaj” (Paraguay) and several other songs important to Polish rock music. The booklet includes an extensive text revealing the behind-the-scenes story of the album’s creation.
