Croatia Records Release Information

Zoster, the cult band from Mostar, presented the new album “Najgori” (The Worst) in September 2023, which gathered great reactions from the audience and critics, and from today it can also be listened to on LP.

The band presented the long-awaited fifth studio album with as many as five singles, “Kuda idu svi ti ljudi” (Where Are all these People Going), “Treba mi keš” (I Need Cash), “Čovjek želi da je ptica” (Man Wants to Be a Bird), “Čovjek zvani činjenica” (Man Called a Fact) and “Mozak na pašnjak” (Brain out to Pasture), and the album is complete with a total of ten songs.

Together with Marija Knezović, who is leading the band and the old members Atilla Aksoj and Goran Rebac, the new members Silvije Nuić (guitar), Anes Beglerbegović (drums), and as guests Miron Rafajlović (trumpets), Johnny Gomez (percussion), Edvin Hadžić (bass), Đani Pervan (drums) and Lidija Kordić (backing vocals) took part in the recordings. The album was produced by Adis Sirbubalo, mixed by Đani Pervan, mastered by Goran Martinac, and Sandro Drinovac was responsible for the visual design of the cover.

The band was formed in 2000 in Mostar, and Zoster has been talking about current problems and the state of society from the very beginning. They believe that reggae music is ideal for conveying messages of tolerance, peace, progressiveness, affirmation, love, and sometimes education, in a region where, they say, there is too much aggression, even in music.

They held a big concert promotion of the album at Tvornica Kulture last month, and it was also their biggest solo concert in Zagreb, after filling and selling out Zagreb’s clubs several times. They are building regional popularity with each new concert, and the performance at Tvornica Kulture was an opportunity to hear the acclaimed new album, as well as a selection of singles from their two-decade-long career.
