Croatia Records Release Information
For the twentieth birthday of his most famous album “Milo moje” (My Love), Miroslav Škoro decided to reissue it as an enriched LP version.
In addition to the original production, the album published by Croatia Records and Campus is enriched with a large booklet containing additional content: photos and memorabilia, interviews and the lyrics of all songs.
“Milo moje” (My Love), “Sude mi” (They Judge Me), “Ne vjeruje srce pameti” (The Heart Does not Trust the Mind, “Reci, brate moj” (Tell Me, My Brother) and “Reci gdje je dom” (Tell Me where the Home Is) are just some of the timeless hits that two generations grew up on, and from today they can also be listened to on vinyl.
Back in 2003, after the release of the CD “Milo moje”, the doors of all concert halls in the homeland and diaspora opened overnight for Škoro. The audience waited in endless lines in front of the box office of various halls to get a ticket for his concert. Everyone sang his most famous choruses in unison. That euphoric state surrounding the entire album lasted for several years and Škoro himself said that he had never had more concerts in his life than then.
In his review of the album and the song “Milo moje”, Škoro said: “That verse, “Milo moje, milo mame svoj” (My love, my mother’s love), I carried as an idea for a very long time and only ten years later, when Željko Barba, my lifelong friend and collaborator, came with a melody that is now called “Milo moje”, this song was created. That was the beginning of the work on the album which, after the first two very successful ones “Ne dirajte mi ravnicu” (Don’t Touch My Plain) and “Miroslav Škoro i Ravnica” (Miroslav Škoro and Ravnica) and the other two less successful albums “Ptica samica” (Single Bird) and “Slagalica” (Puzzles), should become my fifth studio album.”
