The acclaimed album of the versatile artist Sara Renar, “Šuti i pjevaj” (Shut up and Sing), is now also available on vinyl. The singer-songwriter Sara Renar released this album a little more than a year ago, on Women’s Day, which many music critics declared to be the bravest album of her career.

Characterized as the most optimistic material, with “Šuti i pjevaj” Sara opens up to the audience most intensive and most vulnerable. Through the songs, the topics of women’s position in society, religion, art, but also love, friendship and economic relationships are interwoven. Everything that is actually current in today’s world, including in Croatia, and which may not be discussed strongly enough. This is exactly why the album “Šuti i pjevaj” is coming to vinyl, a format through which music is experienced even more emotionally. Her songs on vinyl sound even stronger, they reach the listeners even more, and all this was contributed by the production of Tonota, i.e. Ivona Eterović, as well as the preparation of the master by Višeslav Laboš.

Besides Sara Renar, “Šuti i pjevaj” was also created by her many collaborators, from the permanent ones Konrad Mulvaj, Zdeslav Klarić, Vedran Peternel and Dimitrije Simović to the guest musicians Nenad Sinkauz, Nenad Kovačić, Ivan Grobenski, Marko Lucijan Hraščanec, Hrvoje Štefanić , Luka Čapeta, Igor Pavlica and Miloš Vojvodić, the rap duo Playground Hustle, as well as guest singer-songwriters on the title track. Music and lyrics of all songs are signed by Sara. The cover photo was taken by Marina Uzelac, who is also the author of the series of corresponding photos with the songs. Sven Sorić is the author of the visual identity, and the other ear from the cover photo belongs to the actress Klara Mucci.

The record is packed in a matte outer sleeve on which the shiny letters of the album title stand out, while along with the 180-gram black vinyl, customers get a perforated poster with photos of Marina Uzelac and the song lyrics, in such a way that each song is a postcard. The album also contains a download code for the free download of mp3 versions of the songs.

That Sara Renar is one of the busiest singer-songwriters in the region is indicated by the fact that just before the release of the vinyl version of the album, she also released “Šuti i pjevaj remixes”, an album with remixes that have already found their way to radio stations. A number of concerts await her in summer 2022, of which we single out a performance on 11 June at the Knin fortress, a day later at OKC Abrašević in Mostar, on 2 July she will officially promote the LP as part of the “Summer at MSU” in Zagreb, and on 10 July she has a concert at the idyllic Tam Tam Music Festival in Sućurj.
