M. Efekt (2 x); Collegium Musicum (4 x); Fermata (2 x); Hammel & Varga; Prudy; The Soulmen (2 x)
The album “Gastronic Pleasure” brings for the first time in a complete form on one CD the songs of all rock bands in which the legendary Slovakian bassist Fedor Frešo played. The representative selection of songs from the period 1968-1981 contains a total of 12 tracks on which Fedor participated as author, co-author, producer or singer during his time in the now cult bands The Soulmen, Prúdy, Collegium Musicum, M. Efekt (Blue Effect) and Fermáta.
In addition to relatively well-known compositions by Dežo Ursiny, Marián Varga, Oldřich Veselý, Radim Hladík and Fedor Frešo, the album contains one musical rarity – a previously unreleased exclusive archival demo recording of “Concentrated Sorrow” by Collegium Musicum from a concert in 1970. It comes from the legendary “red suitcase” from the estate of Marián Varga and is released on CD for the first time ever. The album also boasts another rarity – the CD cover features a previously unpublished photograph of Tibor Borský. The photograph belongs to a series that was taken during the recording of the album Konvergence (Convergence) by Collegium Musicum and has been waiting for its publication in the archive until today. Tibor Borský is also the author of other photographs used on the CD. The introduction to the album was written by Marián Jaslovský.
On this unique and collectible album, in addition to Fedor Frešo, a number of great musicians play and sing on the 12 tracks: Marián Varga, Dežo Ursiny, Pavol Hammel, Oldřich Veselý, Tomáš Berka, František Griglák, Rasťo Vacho, Radim Hladík, Peter Saller, Vladimír Mallý, Dušan Hájek and Karol Oláh.
