Teška Industrija (Heavy Industry) have recorded their new studio album “Putnički voz uspomena” (Passenger Train of Memories) for their 50th birthday
This is how one of the most famous Yugoslavian rock bands decided to celebrate its 50th birthday: Gabor Lengyel / Lenđel is the author and music producer of all eleven songs on the album. All the songs are new, and the band tried to get the sound they “produced” in the 1970s when they took the Yugoslavian rock scene by a storm.
Seid Memić Vajta was invited to sing all the songs as lead vocalist and frontman of the group. Vedran Božić (the former guitarist of Time) brought the desired sound with his unique guitar riffs, Petar “Petej” Peco on drums proved that even in his seventies he was in perfect musical shape and Aleksandar Kostić played bass guitar. Gabor Lengyel played the keyboards and “packaged” the entire album into an excellent musical whole. The album was recorded at the Croatia Records Studio, and the quality of the recordings was taken care of by the sound engineer Mauro Širol, while the designer Dragan S. Stefanović compiled the excellent appearance of the cover.
It can be said that this album was made very professionally in every segment of its creation and that the audience of Teška Industrija will not be deprived of anything. Gabor Lengyel, as the band leader, announced upcoming promotional and concert activities in order to reach the largest possible number of listeners.
With this album, Teška Industrija have returned their the sound from the seventies of the last century. That was when they earned the title of representatives of heavy progressive rock, which they skillfully combined with local folklore influences.
A reissue of their debut album “Ho-ruk” was recently released, which still stands today as one of the most authentic and special collections of songs recorded in the early days of classic rock in Yugoslavia.
