According to the booklet of “Jazz Street”, “Today in Croatia, it is brave to record an album like this.”

At the same time, it is thought that the album was recorded in a “straight-ahead” jazz direction, but, as Anton Glasnović says, they just played and let things happen. The album is primarily a tribute to his first jazz teacher, Damir Dičić, but everything that each musician from the trio has to show has been put into it.

The Anton Glasnović Trio includes Anton Glasnović on electric guitar, Nenad Jura Vrandečić on double bass and Berislav Puhlovski on drums, while Saša Nestorović joined them as a guest on saxophone. They played mainly Dičić’s compositions, but also compositions by Victor Young & Egbert van Alstyne, Harold Arlen & George Gershwin, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Wayne King. A total of nine brilliant and virtuoso performances that will not leave anyone indifferent.

“Regardless of the fact that art and music change from year to year, this type of jazz, “straight-ahead” jazz, has been performed and will be performed unchanged in every corner of the world. I hope that this album will also find its way to true fans of the mentioned idiom, which in the era of complete relativization of everything, including music, is very important to hold firmly and cherish as an anchor around which things move and come to an end,” said Anton Glasnović.

The album was recorded by Davor Rocco, and is decorated with photographs by Davor Hrvoje, while the visual design was done by Branko “Pif” Bogunović and Črčke.
