Bass guitarist Aleksandar Vesić, also known for the rock project Sikter Egu, has sailed into jazz waters, both as an author and as a musician.

After songs with fierce riffs, it now presents powerful jazz compositions performed by Cloud Buzz, an octet behind which Aleksandar is the sole author. Although it is an octet, the performances seem as if they were played by a big band, as Davor Hrvoj writes on the release. They sound solid, secure, elegant and nimble, with a rich sound and meaningful improvisations that remain in the context of the fusion of jazz and popular music.

The album “Stepping Forward” contains nine excellent jazz compositions performed by quality musicians. On the album, Aleksandar Vesić was joined by Petar Ćulibrk, Igor Vugrek, Lovro Šicel, Oliver Potočnik, Gordan Perši, Marko Prepelić and Petar Prepelić. Cloud Buzz is a band that performs unrestrained contemporary jazz, which is created by the interplay of bass guitar, keyboards, saxophone, trumpet, trombone and drums, and the free artistic creation and strong author’s stamp are a guarantee that “Stepping Forward” will surely find its way to jazz lovers.
