Rock Diszkont Release Information
The Budapest band’s first album, recommended for fans of Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy, Epica and early Nightwish. The melodic and diverse, yet dark and tight elements of the Nordic metal line make the songs even more exciting with a combination of clean and raspy female vocals.
The band’s activity dates back to 2018, when their debut EP “A Leap of Faith” was released, followed by the single ”The Leaf Legacy” in 2019. Their first full-length album “ Act I – Origins in Darkness” will be released by H-Music in April 2022.
“The album shows the beginning of a painful spiritual journey, a journey where we are forced to face our demons. As with all the darker, more difficult stages of our lives, this is the beginning of a very deep spiritual journey as we begin to rediscover ourselves. Each song is an echo of a spiritual problem, full of self-criticism, anger, doubt, fear, hopelessness, and sometimes harsh social criticism.
There are crises when we have no choice but to turn inwards, to look deeper and deeper inside ourselves and confront everything we want to bury. There are questions that we dare not ask ourselves, but this album ruthlessly speaks the answers for the listener. Anyone who faces such a crisis and is brave enough to set out on the path to a solution can feel as if they are dissecting themselves alive.
So many illnesses, whether physical or psychological, are of our own making. This statement best represents the true message of the abundance of emotion and self-mortification that ripples throughout the album. ”
