When it comes to hard rock and heavy metal, Divlje Jagode (Wild Strawberries) has been the first band in the Yugoslavian region that gained great fame inside, but also outside Yugoslavia. Their fierce and innovative sound, which can be compared to the world rock scene, which at that time consisted of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and others.

Moreover, Sead “Zele” Lipovača, the founder, frontman and guitarist of Divlje Jagode, is still in contact with some of them today, while during his career he also collaborated with a later singer of Black Sabbath, Tony Martin, and rejected a colloboration offer from Whitesnake. Virtuoso playing the guitar and staying in eminent world studios earned Zele the title of one of the most important guitarists in the Yugoslavian part of Europe. In addition to our premises, in 1987, Divlje Jagode dared to go abroad and released the English-language album “Wild Strawberries”, which is why Zele’s second home was London.

During their career, which now spans more than 40 years, Divlje Jagode have become synonymous with rock and heavy metal music and continue to delight the audience wherever they step onto the stage.

Two editions of the “Original Album Collection” with a total of 12 albums by Divlje Jagode and Sead “Zele” Lipovača are on sale; “Divlje Jagode” (Wild Strawberries , 1978), “Stakleni hotel” (Glass Hotel, 1981), “Motori” (Engines, 1982), “Čarobnjaci” (Wizards, 1983), “Vatra” (Fire, 1985) and “Wild Strawberries” (1987) are on Vol. 1, and “Konji” (Horses , 1988), “Zele – Magic Love” (1993), “Labude kad rata ne bude” (Swans when there Is no War, 1994), “Sto vjekova” (A hundred centuries, 1997), “Od neba do neba” (From Heaven to Heaven, 2003) and “Biodinamička ljubav” (Biodynamic love, 2013) are on Vol. 2.

Every true fan of the Yugoslavian rock scene should have this collection, which is a valuable record of everything that Zele Lipovača has created over the years with his cult Divlje Jagode, on his best CD shelf.
