The title and cover make it clear: a collaboration between Petra Janu and Ota Petrina. A great singer and an excellent guitarist, composer & producer met in the mid-70s in C & K Vocal. For the next few seasons, Ota was the almost exclusive supplier of music, Zdenek Rytír was the majority lyricist and Petra was a performer with an extraordinary drive.

If Jirí Schelinger was a secret rock trump card during the rigid “normalisation”, then Petra Janu held a similarly high electric torch in the ladies’ category. It’s amazing how many sharpened guitars were recorded (and released) back then, how many excellent musicians could hide under the Pro-rock label, and what vocal energy Petra adorned those songs with.

The years 1978 to 1984 were a collective ride on the rock and roll, pop rock, hard rock, disco rock and eventually partly synth rock wave. From the hit songs on “Motorest” to the sometimes really hard and heavy themes on “Exploduj! ” (Explode!) and lyrical refreshment on “Já & my” (Me & We) to the monolithic original piece “Rocník 50” (Volume 50). The albums come with bonus features, biographical text and photos from the archive of Alan Pajer, the man behind all the LP covers.
