Tata Bojs is one of the most popular domestic groups of the recent years, winners of “9 Andělů” (9 Angels) and many other awards. They have been awarded in annual polls: album of the year, decade or even 20 years.

In 24 years of existence, the Hanspaulka formation has become a respected driving force of the domestic music scene thanks to its purposeful work and uncompromising artistic attitude.

Now the albums “Futuretro”, “Biorytmy” (Biorhythms), “Nanoalbum” and “Kluci kde ste?” (Boys where Are You?) are available in a collector’s edition. Under the special joint max label, the original album is always supplemented by one and in the case of “Futuretro” and “Biorytmy” even two bonus discs. They contain previously unreleased versions of songs, rarities and demo recordings of songs related to the period of the release of the particular album. Besides “Futuretro, there are also DVDs with previously unreleased concert recordings, clips, and special documentary footage.

The “Nanoalbum” was first released in June 2004, two years after the release of Tata Bojs’ previous studio opus “Biorytmy” (Biorhythms). The record was almost ten months in the making, mostly in the band’s then-new studio in their home “Delta”, and was a big surprise to fans of the band and music writers alike. And how did the new release differ from its predecessors, “Ukončete nás…!” (Finish Us off...!), “Futuretro” and “Biorytmy”?

Tata Bojs themselves describe the album as a concept album, knowing that in a way some of the previous albums were also concept albums. “Nanoalbum’s” conceptuality lies in the fact that as a whole it tells a story. In terms of the “genre” of the story, it is a combination of sci-fi, low-fi, crime and romance spiced with comedic elements. Some of the album’s story takes place in the so-called “nanoworld” – the unimaginably small dimensions inside the human body. In it ride “nanobots” similar to submarines, which are controlled from the outside by a human – a “nanopilot”. Listeners can find out more about the plot, storyline, characters and technology in the songs by “Nanoalbum” itself.
