The hardrock supergroup Limetal, which brings together most of the members of Citron after the band split up, is releasing its debut album in February 2017. The modern rock songs, which reference the musical roots of the band members, were created both in Czechia and in Los Angeles, where the band collaborated with the producer Carmen Riz (The Who, Alanis Morissette, Jane’s Addiction, and Ray Charles). A bonus track on the album features the voice of the late singer Stanislav “Standa” Hranický, to which the band added the musical accompaniment.

The members of Limetal are associated with Citron’s most famous era and contributed to the arrangement and composition of all of the band’s major albums, including the cult classics “Plni energie” (Full of Energy) and “Radegast”. The singer Fany Michalík replaced Láďa Křížek in the band at the turn of the 1980s to the 1990s.
