A well-considered compilation of Věra Špinarová’s major songs dating from between 1971 and 2001 plus brand-new tracks is a real event. The album includes the most typical popular compositions from the first phase of her career (Andromeda, Raketou na Mars, Tak nic neříkej and Jednoho dne se vrátíš, the Czech version of Ennio Morricone’s Un jour tu reviendras from the legendary film Once upon a Time in the West), as well as the most interesting recordings from the next two decades, including those initially released by Czech Radio in Ostrava, and several hits from the album originally released by the Fischer Entertainment label.

A special treat are two bonuses in the form of cover versions from the repertoire of Tina Turner (Stěží mi teď dáš mat / Be Tender with Me Baby) and Bonnie Tyler ( Stůj / Stay), since no one else could have ventured so successfully into such heart-breaking songs. Věra Špinarová splendidly performs dramatic ballads, lively soul and perfectly phrased middle-of-the-road music.
