Music is connected with inner, sometimes unconscious experience. It is an expression of our pre-rational setting. That unimportant trembling of the air is a gateway to our innermost being, the tones speak to human hearts regardless of race, language, political affiliation or religion. Music itself carries those important feelings of happiness, love, or success, but also helplessness, loss, and disappointment, without which human life would not be beautiful.

The two Happiness CDs are the pure essence of playfulness, unbridled, sweet storytelling, sometimes even gossip. It was created as a freely improvised film score for the series “Země kadidlové stezky” (The Land of the Incense Trai) and other films set in the mountains of Asia, so it also contains a variety of Eastern influences.

When this largely improvised playing is done, it produces an immense sense of happiness in the musicians. The happiness of being able to take part in that magical flow of music that certainly in its heights no longer belongs to the individual players, but merges with something higher that gives meaning to the whole and uplifts not only the musicians themselves, but more importantly the listeners.

Instructions for use

CD 1 and 2 require special care and attention. Please follow this order:

Make sure you have at least 30 minutes of distraction-free time. Then:
1. Pour yourself a glass of good wine.
2. Turn off all phone buzzers and beepers.
3. Sit in your favorite chair between the speakers.
4. Light a candle.
5. Breathe deeply and listen. Falling asleep is allowed, but not necessarily required.
